See the real screens before you sign in
These are screenshots of the practice platform itself, not mock-ups. Grey exam frame, countdown in the corner, the instruction line in bold italics, Next and Submit along the bottom: the layout you will sit in on test day. Pick a task to look inside.
Why it feels like the real test
Most practice sites give you a question bank and a text box. Your score on test day depends just as much on the interface: how fast the countdown runs, when the microphone opens, what happens when you fall silent. We rebuilt those details so the first time you meet them is not in the test centre.
Same screens, same timers
Read Aloud gives you the 30 to 40 second preparation countdown and closes the microphone after three seconds of silence. Write Email shows the live word count and the nine-minute clock. Reorder Paragraphs drags the way the Pearson screen drags. Nothing is simplified to make practice feel easier than the exam.
Scored on Pearson's traits
Speaking answers are graded for content, pronunciation and oral fluency. Writing is graded for content, form, grammar, vocabulary and spelling. Reading and listening items earn a point per correct word, blank, pair or option, with the same negative marking the real test applies. You see the trait breakdown, not just one number.
Broken attempts never skew your average
If your microphone fails, the tab closes or you stop half-way through, that attempt is thrown out rather than banked as a zero. Your averages and your weak-task list only reflect answers you actually gave, so the number you see is a number worth trusting.
All 19 question types, free
Pick a task to read how it is scored, see a worked example and try the real questions after a one-click sign-in. The counts are Pearson's official ranges for a single test form, so a task that shows 6 to 7 will appear six or seven times in your exam.
Score tools
IRCC never reads your overall PTE Core score. It converts each of the four skill scores to a Canadian Language Benchmark, and Express Entry turns those benchmarks into points. These tools do that arithmetic with the official tables so you can see exactly which skill is worth more practice time.
PTE Core to CLB converter
Type your four skill scores and see the CLB level for each one, which skill is holding the set back and how many points you need to move up a level.
CRS language points calculator
Turn your CLB levels into Comprehensive Ranking System points for a first official language, with and without a spouse, so you know what a better writing score is actually worth.
PTE Core score chart
The full 10 to 90 scale against CLB 3 to 10 for every skill on one page you can save, plus the IELTS General and CELPIP equivalents IRCC publishes.

Guides written by people who took the test
No padding and no recycled tips. Each guide explains one thing properly: the method for a task, the plan for a month, or how PTE Core compares with the alternatives IRCC accepts.
30-day PTE Core study plan
A month of daily sessions, each short enough to finish after work, ordered by how many points each task is worth to your four skill scores.
The Write Email method
A fixed structure for the 50 to 120 word email that satisfies the form and content checks every time, with model answers you can take apart.
The Read Aloud method
How to use the preparation countdown, where to breathe, and why the scoring engine rewards flow over a perfect accent.
Templates for the writing tasks
Openers, closers and linking phrases for Summarize Written Text, Write Email and Summarize Spoken Text that do not read like templates.
PTE Core vs CELPIP
Format, scoring, cost, how fast results arrive and which test suits which profile, compared without a preferred answer.
PTE Core vs IELTS General
The same comparison for IELTS, including the table that shows where a PTE Core score lands against an IELTS band for every CLB level.
Honest about scores
The scores on this site are practice estimates, not Pearson results. Our speaking scorer uses speech recognition and the published trait definitions; Pearson's engine is trained on thousands of human-rated responses and is not public. Our numbers are built to be consistent and to move in the same direction as the real ones, so you can see improvement and spot a weak task, not to predict your result to the point.
Treat a practice score of 70 as "around CLB 7 territory", not as a promise. Every task page explains how we score it so you can judge the estimate for yourself, and the exam guide sets out the official rules we score against.
