Terms of use

The rules for using the site and the practice platform. Short, because the platform is free and the rules are mostly common sense.

Last reviewed · The PTE Core Free Practice team

Effective date: 3 October 2026.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to ptecorefree.com and the PTE Core Free Practice practice platform (together, the "Service"), operated by PTE Core Free Practice ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

PTE Core Free Practice is an independent preparation platform for the PTE Core exam. The public pages, including the guides and tools, are open to everyone. The practice platform and scoring are available to anyone who signs in with a free account.

We are not affiliated with Pearson, which owns and runs the PTE exams, or with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Our disclaimer explains this in more detail and forms part of these Terms.

2. Your account

  • An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in or let anyone else use your account.
  • You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your sign-in details secure; we will never ask you for your password.
  • An account stays signed in on one browser at a time: signing in somewhere new signs the previous browser out. We record the devices an account signs in from, as our privacy policy explains, and we may limit the number of attempts or requests in a period, to keep accounts personal and the Service available to everyone.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Free access and advertising

The Service is free. We do not charge for accounts, practice or scoring, and we do not take payments on the website. Public pages may show advertising served by Google AdSense; no ads are shown on sign-in pages or inside the practice platform. We may add, change, limit or remove features and practice content over time, and we may introduce fair-use limits where automated or excessive use would degrade the Service for others. If we ever introduce a paid feature, these Terms will be updated first and nothing you already have access to will be charged for retroactively.

4. Practice scores are estimates

Scores on the platform are produced by automated scoring that estimates how the real exam might score a response. They are for practice only and are not official PTE Core results. Your official score comes only from Pearson. We do not guarantee any score, CLB level, exam result or immigration outcome, and you should not rely on a practice score as a prediction of your official result.

5. Acceptable use

When you use the Service, you agree not to:

  • copy, download, record, screenshot in bulk, resell or republish practice questions, answers, audio, mock tests or other platform content;
  • use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated tools to access the Service or collect its content, or to create accounts;
  • try to get around sign-in, rate limits, attempt limits or other security measures, or interfere with how the Service runs;
  • probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful, abusive or that you do not have the right to share;
  • share or submit content from a real PTE exam. Pearson's rules prohibit it, and it can put your own test result at risk;
  • use the Service to build a competing product or to train a model on its content.

Content on the Service, including questions, audio, guides, sample texts and the scoring software, is protected by copyright and other laws. You may use it only for your own exam preparation.

6. Your responses and recordings

The answers, text and audio recordings you submit remain yours. You allow us to store and process them so that we can score them, show your progress and run the Service. We do not publish them, share them with other users, or use them to train models. Our privacy policy explains how we handle this information, what is kept after an account is deleted, and how to ask us to delete it.

If you believe something on the Service uses your copyrighted work without permission, email us at ptecorefreepractice@gmail.com. Tell us which material you mean, where it appears and why you believe it is yours. We review every notice promptly and remove material where appropriate.

Public pages may show ads served by Google AdSense, and the Service links to other websites, including Pearson and IRCC. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or websites, and a link is not an endorsement.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features and practice content at any time. We may also change these Terms; see section 13.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, for example by sharing a sign-in, scraping or copying platform content, or submitting real exam material, without notice and without liability to you. We may also close accounts that have not been used for two years. You may stop using the Service at any time. There is no delete button in the platform: to delete your account, email us at ptecorefreepractice@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. The privacy policy explains what is deleted and when.

11. No warranty and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PTE Core Free Practice is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including a missed score, a delayed or unsuccessful exam or immigration outcome, or lost opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

12. Governing law

The Service is operated from India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, unless the consumer protection laws of the place where you live give you the right to bring it there.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the Service after a change is posted, you accept the updated Terms.
